Goldman just loaded up on this EV maker after dumping Lucid stock

Goldman Sachs’ latest 13-F filing shows a reallocation within its EV holdings: it cut Lucid exposure by 19% (down 158,971 shares) and saw the holding’s value fall ~27% to about $6.6 million as LCID trades YTD down ~46% at $5.68. At the same time Goldman increased its Rivian stake by 56% to 8.9 million shares (value rising ~19% to ~$134 million), despite RIVN being down ~31% YTD and well below earlier levels. Both EV positions remain tiny relative to Goldman’s $871 billion portfolio, where large stakes include Nvidia (~181 million shares, ~$31.5 billion), Apple (~106 million shares, ~$27 billion) and the SPY ETF (2.7% of the portfolio). The filing signals selective reweighting in EV exposure while leaving the firm heavily concentrated in megacap tech and broad-market ETF positions — a data point investors may use to reassess sector sentiment and potential flow implications for smaller EV names.
