SpaceX AI Revenue Surges 830% to $7.6 Billion as Compute Leasing Drives Transformation

SpaceX is rapidly transforming into a major artificial intelligence neocloud provider, with its AI compute unit overtaking its aerospace and satellite operations. The company's AI segment revenue surged 830% year over year to approximately $7.6 billion in the third quarter, surpassing its space launch revenue of $1.77 billion and connectivity revenue of $5.25 billion. Supported by aggressive infrastructure expansion, SpaceX guided for fourth-quarter capital expenditures of $35 billion to $40 billion. Chief Executive Elon Musk dismissed AI overcapacity concerns, reporting that competitors are actively seeking compute capacity as the firm targets 2 gigawatts of capacity by year-end 2026.
