Bitcoin Rebounds to $82,000 as Fed Chair Warsh Avoids Rate-Hike Signals

Bitcoin stabilized near $82,000 on Friday after rebounding from a Thursday low near $79,700, supported by declining expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike. The recovery followed remarks by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, who declined to prejudge upcoming FOMC meetings during IMF discussions. Consequently, the CME FedWatch probability of an October rate increase dropped from around 27%-28% to approximately 15%, while Polymarket odds fell to 13%. This shift eased macroeconomic anxieties prompted by September headline CPI of 3.7%, driving down 24-hour crypto liquidations to $311 million.
