Core Scientific Sells 816 Bitcoin and Sets Full Mining Exit for Q4 2026

Core Scientific has sold 816 Bitcoin during the third quarter of 2026, leaving only 32 BTC on its balance sheet as it accelerates its transition toward artificial intelligence hosting. Management confirmed plans to fully cease Bitcoin mining operations by December 31, 2026. The shift follows changing economics, with Q3 data center colocation revenue reaching $215.4 million, representing over 92% of the company's total revenue, while Bitcoin mining dwindled. Core Scientific has already halved its active fleet, paid $41.9 million to exit equipment agreements, and contracted 1,120 MW of power for AI and high-performance computing.
