Drift Protocol Exploiter Moves Up to $61.6 Million in Ether to Tornado Cash

Wallets tied to the April 2026 Drift Protocol exploit reactivated on October 20, transferring up to 25,700 ETH worth approximately $61.6 million into Tornado Cash. One tracked address moved roughly 13,400 ETH, or about $32 million, while combined transfers across linked addresses reached the higher total. The movement follows an initial $285 million to $295.7 million exploit in April, which researchers attribute to North Korea-linked threat groups. Associated exploiter addresses still retain between 81,864 and 94,000 ETH, valued at up to $224 million.
