Ethereum Developers Issue Prysm Client Update Ahead of Glamsterdam Sepolia Activation

Ethereum developers issued Prysm client version 7.2.1 to configure validators for an expanded 200 million gas limit ahead of the Glamsterdam testnet upgrade on Sepolia. The fix ensures validators do not revert to the prior default of roughly 60 million gas, enabling accurate testing of network throughput and validator hardware demands. Scheduled for activation on October 6, 2026, at 13:53:36 UTC, Glamsterdam combines the Amsterdam execution layer and Gloas consensus layer upgrades. Following Sepolia testing, the upgrade will deploy to the Hoodi testnet before its eventual mainnet release.
