Germany Q3 Preliminary GDP Expands 0.2% Quarter-on-Quarter, Beating Expectations

Germany's economy expanded by 0.2% quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter of 2026, topping market consensus estimates of 0.1%, according to preliminary figures from Destatis. On an annual basis, GDP grew by 1.2% year-on-year, exceeding the projected 1.1% increase. The expansion follows a 0.3% quarter-on-quarter increase and 1.0% annual growth in the preceding quarter.
