Alphabet's Google launched Gemini 4 Carbon, a frontier artificial intelligence model focused on cybersecurity and coding tasks, two weeks after debuting Gemini 4 Argon. The model topped the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 with a score of 59, surpassing Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 and OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra. Google is limiting initial access to vetted defenders via its Fairwind Program and U.S. government pre-release testing. Gemini 4 Carbon is initially priced at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, while Alphabet shares advanced approximately 1.5% following the benchmark announcement.
