Iran's IRGC Claims Four Oil Tankers Destroyed by Mines in Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that four oil tankers were destroyed by naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz and two additional vessels were detained or seized. The claimed attacks follow limited US military strikes on surface-to-air missile sites on Iran's Qeshm island. Tehran previously reported that three other tankers struck mines and an MQ-9 drone was downed over the chokepoint. Iran maintains the waterway will remain closed until its demands are met, even as Qatari mediators noted both Washington and Tehran are reviewing diplomatic proposals with feedback expected within 36 hours.
