Ledger Supply-Chain Exploit Losses Reach Up to $102 Million Across Multiple Blockchains

Total losses from a supply-chain implant exploit targeting Ledger hardware wallets have reached an estimated $93 million to $102 million across more than 300 wallets. The unauthorized campaign involved physically modified devices distributed through Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis, where electronic implants intercepted 24-word recovery seed phrases during setup and broadcast them over mobile networks. Coordinated drains on October 9 emptied hundreds of wallets, including over 60 Bitcoin worth $4.8 million held by a task-scam operator and 80 Bitcoin worth up to $6.6 million from a trader. Tether froze $10 million in connected USDT.
