Luxor Technology Raises $16 Million to Expand AI Compute Trading and Hardware Brokerage

Seattle-based Bitcoin mining firm Luxor Technology Corporation has raised $16 million in a strategic funding round led by CMT Digital to expand into artificial intelligence compute trading and hardware brokerage. The round included participation from Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead, and angel investors. Luxor plans to use the proceeds to support working capital for AI hardware brokerage, scale its cloud platform, and develop compute derivatives. The investment reflects a wider industry pivot toward AI infrastructure, with publicly traded Bitcoin miners having already secured more than $70 billion in AI and high-performance computing contracts by the end of March.
