Nvidia Discusses Insurance Frameworks With Underwriters to Back AI Hardware Loans

Nvidia is in preliminary discussions with major insurance companies and reinsurance broker Howden Re to hedge debt financing risks tied to its artificial intelligence chips. The initiative seeks to protect institutional lenders and Wall Street firms financing AI infrastructure, particularly for smaller neocloud providers, against credit defaults and equipment obsolescence. To assist underwriting, Nvidia has shared detailed chip depreciation and computing valuation data. The push complements broader efforts to unlock approximately $500 billion in financing capital to support the ongoing global build-out of artificial intelligence computing capacity.
