Nvidia Explores Potential Acquisition of or Deeper Investment in Reflection AI

Nvidia Corporation is in early-stage discussions to acquire or deepen its investment in open-weight artificial intelligence startup Reflection AI, according to reports citing the Financial Times. Potential deal formats include a full buyout, expanded equity stake, or an acqui-hire and licensing structure designed to bypass antitrust scrutiny. Nvidia is already a strategic backer, having previously invested $800 million in the startup, which was founded in 2024 by former DeepMind researchers and previously sought funding at a $25 billion valuation. Reflection recently introduced Beam, an open-weight AI model for software development and coding workflows.
