Nvidia in Talks to Invest Hundreds of Millions in Firmus After Scrapped IPO

Nvidia is in discussions to invest hundreds of millions of dollars into Australian AI cloud provider Firmus Grid, following the cancellation of the startup's planned initial public offering. Firmus Grid withdrew its proposed Australian stock exchange listing, which had targeted a valuation exceeding $30 billion, due to lukewarm investor demand, mounting debt concerns, and an industry-wide valuation pullback for AI cloud infrastructure firms. Nvidia, which already holds an equity stake in Firmus, is pursuing the deal to support specialized neocloud infrastructure partners, despite raising market scrutiny around vendor financing.
