Seoul Court Dismisses 88-Owner Lawsuit Seeking Tesla Full Self-Driving Refunds

South Korea's Seoul Central District Court has dismissed a lawsuit by 88 Tesla owners seeking full refunds for the automaker's Full Self-Driving software. The court ruled that Tesla did not breach its contractual obligations, concluding that purchasing the package did not guarantee fully autonomous driving without human supervision. The judges emphasized that future feature rollouts depend on technical progress and regulatory approvals, which require substantial time. Furthermore, the court noted Tesla had already delivered several components, including basic and Enhanced Autopilot capabilities, and expanded traffic light recognition and city-driving updates to Hardware 3-equipped vehicles.
