Taiwan Backs $4 Billion Texas Industrial Park to Reinforce Nvidia AI Supply Chain

Taiwan plans to back dedicated U.S. industrial parks, starting with an initial site in Texas costing up to $4 billion to house component suppliers for Nvidia and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC). The project aims to relieve severe supply constraints for Nvidia, whose CEO Jensen Huang noted current supply meets only roughly 70% of market demand. Supported by Taiwan's Economy Ministry and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, the complex will co-locate makers of cooling systems, power supplies, and circuit boards alongside TSMC's $265 billion planned U.S. investments to curb geopolitical risks and transit times.
