Tom Lee Warns Ethereum Faces Downside Pressure From South Korea Stock Market Sell-Off

Ethereum traded around $2,515 after touching an intraday low of $2,411, down roughly 6% over the week amid spillover warnings and ongoing ETF outflows. Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee cautioned that a sharp equity crash in South Korea could prompt retail and institutional investors to liquidate crypto holdings to cover brokerage margin calls. South Korea's benchmark KOSPI index plunged 6.08% to 5,996.16 points on October 13, led by drops in Samsung Electronics and SK hynix. Meanwhile, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs registered $85.4 million in net withdrawals on October 12 following $542 million in outflows the prior week.
