Bitcoin fell below $82,000 to settle near $81,400 as US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $909 million in cumulative net outflows across a two-week period ending October 16. The withdrawals marked the steepest institutional pullback since April, comprising $681 million in the first week followed by $228 million between October 12 and October 16. The selling pressure coincided with over $1.7 billion in leveraged crypto liquidations. Meanwhile, Charles Schwab expanded access by launching Bitcoin and Ether trading with a 0.75% transaction fee across its roughly 35 million client accounts.
